Apple is reportedly investing approximately $1 billion in acquiring Nvidia's GB300 NVL72 systems, marking a significant move into the generative AI sector. This investment involves purchasing around 250 servers, each priced between $3.7 million and $4 million. Collaborating with server manufacturers Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer, Apple aims to establish a robust infrastructure to support large language model (LLM) clusters for advanced AI applications. This strategic shift follows challenges in launching an AI-enhanced version of Siri, prompting Apple to bolster its AI capabilities. The Nvidia GB300 NVL72 servers are equipped with 72 Blackwell Ultra GPUs and 36 Grace CPUs, designed for high-performance AI processing. This move aligns Apple with other tech giants investing heavily in AI infrastructure, signaling its commitment to advancing in the AI domain.

Apple has officially announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place online from June 9 to 13, 2025. Developers and students will also have the opportunity to attend a special in-person event at Apple Park on June 9. During the keynote address on the first day, Apple is expected to unveil iOS 19, macOS 16, and watchOS 12. iOS 19 is anticipated to introduce a significant design overhaul, including more rounded icons and a user interface inspired by visionOS. macOS 16 and watchOS 12 are also projected to receive notable updates, enhancing functionality and user experience across Mac and Apple Watch devices.
